I've recently become part reponsible for a call center that uses an Avaya PC4.1 system (currently being upgraded to 4.2).

I've had a couple of queries raised by the team, can anyone verify if these are true?

1. Is it true you cannot assign an action to an agent entered completion code (e.g. get the system to dial another number)?

2. If I have 3 jobs I want to link together, is it true that a job can only be linked to one other job? By that I mean if job 1 links to job 2, job 2 cannot be linked to job 3 until job 1 completes?

Thanks in advance

1. you can, check your strategy retries tab. define your agent completion code to a recall and then add it in as a 0 retry interval 0 minute next phone item.

remember retries are within the same job run. be carefull not to push them out too far time and interval wise or you'll never get through the calling list.

2. this is correct. or job 1 is shut down.

For number two there is a setting in the jobs that allows you to set up a job link to any other job before a job starts. If you look at the job in Editor there is a field called "Name of next job to link to." You can set them all up in advance.
