Hello,

I tried to find out, what in reality completion codes mean. In particular, these:

Code ID Type Description
3 TIMEOUT SYS No dial tone
4 HANG_PORT SYS Line idle after dial
11 BUSY SYS Busy signal
15 NOANSWER SYS No answer
36 INTERCEPT SYS Agent intercept
39 VACANT SYS Cannot reach as dialed
40 REORDER SYS Fast busy
91 VIRTVOICE OP Virtual message to VOICE

Calls are made by virtual agent, without user activities.
3 - Virt tried to dial telephone, but there was no dial tone... interesting why?
4 - no idea...
11 - clear, telephone is busy.
15 - virt agent waited specific amount of rings and decided that there is no action from user = no answer
36 - no idea...
39 - incorrect phone number (from some kind of the reason...)
40 - the same as 11 but when user drops incoming connection?
91 - Code of success? We reached customer, he was patient enough to listen?

Thanks

3 and 4 is normal. it may be overload of you PSTN or something else. Avaya says that 3-4% of code 3and4 - normal

36 means that your pstn intercept your call. this may be because of wrong number or user is disconnected or something else
39 - also some kind of SIT
40 - also SIT

91 - is a a standart code for virtual job, it means that user was connected and he listen an announcement.

no [Smile]
SIT = Standard Information Tone that identifies for example a disconnected number or busy circuits.

3-4 % of code 3 and 4 = normal cost of doing business with isdn lines.

39 = "beep beep beep, i'm sorry the number you have called cannot be reached as dialed. "

code 2, 3, and 4 retry as 1 attempt and 1 min. these are phone line codes errors where the call never reached the central office.

codes vacant, reorder, ringing, linefail, are usually errors on the far end, between the CO and the customer. or between CO's. once again retry these at 1 attempt 1 time.

if you see a huge jump in these codes something is either wrong with your lines, or wrong with the customer's calling area service.
