Hi,
I would like to create record selection rules in Sup Edi 4.1 involving multiple string values comparisons.

I have one field in calling list say CURRENT and i want to define a single record selection string matching rule which picks only those records with values say 10,20,30,40,50,

Can i achieve the above in a single comparison in Sup Editor while creating record selection rules? If yes, please suggest how?

Similarly if i would like to achieve something like IN or NOT IN operator, can i achieve it in PCS Sup Editor, if yes no?

Many thanks

Value logic
current =10,20,30,40,50

~ would be closest to your NOT IN pattern match.
e.g.
PHONE1 ~360* (do not call area code 360)

Hi,
I have a complex set of sub-rules to be tested on the calling list and somewhere it is going wrong.

The rules are like this:-
CLASS IN ('51','52','53')
ORG IN ('48','422','560')
LOGO NOT IN ('120','121','122','124','125','130','131','132','134','135')
REVIEWDATE < Following date
ID = 3

We have created seperate logical tests in teh selection strategy for each of the above conditions except for LOGO for which we had to break it into 2 rows since it does not allow for inputs beyond 9 test strings.

All the test are logically And'ed.

The tests are made as shown below:-

CLASS=51,52,53
ORG=48,422,560
LOGO<>120,121,122,124,125,130,131,132,134
LOGO <>135,136
REVIEWDATE < $TODAY + 1
ID=3

Each of the above tests are AND in editor.

Can anyone confirm if the above is OK?

However the records selected is not the required number and it almost always shows extra records.

Is there any guidelines on how to use String comparison and Grouping if required.

Many Thakns

FYI and all you experts, there is a field limitation of 40 characters in the editor and the Grouping logic behaves in a much different way which is not documented anywhere.
Anyways i have it resolved.
Thanks
