I would like to get an idea from the various minds on here, how the area code and prefix time zone table is updated on your dialers? Right now I am V12 SP5 and we go to various web sites monthly to research changes and adjust the table as needed. This seems to me not to be the most efficient way and I am looking for ideas on how to better support this process.

Thanks for your help.

We've subscribed to zip code word (http://www.zipcodeworld.com/areacodegold.htm) and receive quarterly updates which we import into a SQL data base. Then we created a process that take locale.cfg and puts it into a delimited text file which we also import into SQL and bump the two tables up against one another to see if there are any differences.

I'm not sure if Avaya is willing to give up the information or not but we recently upgraded one of our dialers to PC 4.1 and I noticed that he locale.cfg file was up-to-date...hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Jboone, we looked at Zip world a while ago and found some strong inconsistencies such as a Area/Prefix in NY and the same Area/Prefix in CA:)

But I am considering that your process would account for the anomalies since you bump the locale.cfg against there results.

Thanks for the info!!
