A Communications Services for the Deaf call center in Lemoore will shut its doors on June 1, costing more than 97 people their jobs.
A spokesman for the South Dakota-based nonprofit group confirmed the planned closure of its local call center on Lemoore Avenue on Tuesday, as the company prepared to provide notification of upcoming layoffs to all Lemoore center employees by the evening.
The company provides telecommunications relay services for the hearing impaired on behalf of the state Public Utilities Commission's Deaf and Disabled Telecommuni
