MORIARTY, N.M. — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit on behalf of female employees at a Moriarty call center who say they were sexually harassed by a male co-worker.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque charges that a Minnesota company called Data Listing Services LLC created a hostile work environment for the female employees. The company was doing business in Moriarty as The Connection.
The lawsuit says the male co-worker, who was not identified, touched, made comments and conducted himself in a sexual way that harassed the female employees starting in October 2005.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages for the women, anti-discrimination training for the call center and a permanent injunction to keep the company from engaging in any discriminatory practices based on sex.
